This seems to be the one thing that we all have in common, regardless of where in the world we live...the weather.

Sometimes it does what it should, but sometimes it goes completely nuts (like recently) and you wonder what the hell is going on!!

So.....for all of those times when you really do what to talk about the weather, here's the perfect thread for you

Just jump in and tell us how it is in your neck of the woods (and if you live somewhere nice and warm, whilst the rest of us are freezing our butts off, come and make us all jealous ;)).

So...in London yesterday we had snow!! Gladly it didn't settle, and it just made everything totally soggy and miserable (but living here we get used to that ). Well, while the snow didn't last...I wish I could say the same for the ice and the freezing wind!!

I was driving down the motorway here today and I used my wipers to clean the windscreen and the bloody water stared to turn to ice...on the window!! I was gobsmacked, that's never happened before (especially with the heater going at full blast, too ).

That and the way the roads have been salted here has changed the bloody colour of my car...from black to grey!! Living on a main road really sucks sometimes, let me tell ya **sigh** My car looks like it's been dusted with icing sugar  I think that the local council had a bit of an over-reaction in the road salting department (maybe they got Siberia's memo by mistake   )

It kind of takes away the scary factor of my car, which I kind of like, as normally I look like I'm driving a hearse (big black car, with tinted windows on the side, people tend to get out of the way ;)), but not today...today I was just driving one of the filthiest cars on the road, and there's no point cleaning it until the salt has gone (otherwise I'd just be wasting money on running it through the carwash...I can never clean it myself, as I end up running a gauntlet between the three different buses that fly up and down the hill, and it takes me about two hours and knackers me completely).

Anyway.....how is it where you are?

 Yep something to tell the young 'uns when I become an annoying old lady (and I'm an annoying person now at 32, so the odds are in my favour for still being annoying when I'm older ;))

You're not that old, FS...my dad is older than you, ya young whippersnapper

Well, we did have cold and wet, and now we seemed to have lost the wet part, but it has turned freezing cold instead

I think I prefered the wet and cold to what we have here now :(

Come on Spring, surely it's time for you to be sprung?!

I do hope that it stops soon, doing the school run tomorrow will be really bad otherwise **crosses fingers**

It's a lot like that here in West Yorkshire too. It's the first time there's been enough snow for my girls to build a proper big snowman :D

We went to sleep with the curtains open watching the flakes float past last night, and woke up to find a few inches of snow covereing everything this morning. It's been snowing on and off all day, it keeps covering up all the footprints and turning everything back to untouched white again, it's beautiful :D

It was really nice today, everything was shut down, closed off or not running and it's been an unexpected day off for us and unusually quiet, which is great :D

It'll never last, though, the snow is melting quite quickly here, and no doubt the kids will be back again tomorrow :(

Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.

Snow and ice here, I seem to be the only one around here prepared for the conditions, it's not as though we had no warning.
